DAHLIA RISING
YOGA
Dahlia Rising Yoga is Kat Sorensen and Mindy Tonti: two teachers, two styles, one shared love of the sun-loving, hardy, endlessly varied dahlia.
Asana Meditation Retreats
Why the dahlia
Friends for more than five years, Kat and Mindy are experienced yoga teachers living on the beautiful Kitsap Peninsula. They share a love of yoga, dogs and dahlias (they’re even both Geminis), so it only made sense for their friendship to grow into a partnership.
Both bring passion and creativity to the mat. Mindy might add a little more heat, while Kat might cool things down a bit. Together, they create a perfect balance of strength and softness, effort and ease.
That balance shapes every Dahlia Rising retreat: time to move and time to rest, shared practice and quiet moments of your own, and a warm, welcoming community where everyone is invited to bloom at their own pace.

Our journey began in January 2026 with Elevated Intentions: Yoga in the Cascades, at Sleeping Lady in Leavenworth, Washington. Each retreat since has grown our circle of friends, old and new.
